A kind person from the Netherlands send me photos of what looks to be the first A-3 I have seen. Faily interesting example of an early Yanagisawa with both the Prima and Yanagisawa names on it. According to the tech the person took the horn to the tone was very Selmer like.
I’ve further updated the Yanagisawa page with modified dates of production for the 4 and 5 series horns. I have gathered some additional photos for the gallery that I’ll be adding soon.
I have added some of my experiences and comments about the 6 series of horns as well as the 9xx/99x/99xx horns. I’m still looking for pics of a couple of models so if anyone has anything I don’t have please send it!
I have updated the Yanagisawa page with some more stencil information. I’m looking for ads from the stencil period. I have seen ads from Whitehall but don’t have scans of them. If anyone has any Yanagisawa information please send it my way.
I’ve added photos for nearly every model of Yanagisawa saxophone ever made in the gallery. Special thanks goes out to Pete Hales for his generous help in letting me use the vast amount of images that he has collected at his great site [link]
I have updated and moved over from my old site the Yanagisawa information. Please check out the new updated article via the menu link.
