It's a Buffet R13 if I remember correctly. Serial Number is 60043...having trouble understanding the results I get when I enter that number into http://www.buffet-crampon.com/en/instruments.php.

It hasn't been touched in 2 years, and I am sure the pads and corks could use replacing. Besides that its in good condition as far as I know.

Ah. I see the confusion.

* If your clarinet's an R13, then it was made in 1959.
* If your clarinet's an E13, then it was made in 1982.

Two different sets of serial numbers for two different instruments.

See SteveSklar's website at http://clarinetperfection.com/snclarinet.htm#Buffet for more info.

If it's an R13 then it's 1959

Buffets serial number list doesn't go before 1960 .. though it picked up on tis one it seems.

ebay value varies right now .. from the low the $800 to say 1100+ depending upon condition, etc.

Perhaps we should have a section for those interested in determining the value of "an old clarinet I've just found/inherited/whatever". We could call it the eBay Assistance Area...
