Boosey and Hawkes Symphony 1010

I have a pair (Bb and A) of Boosey and Hawkes Symphony 1010s. I'm changing insurance company. The new company want to know what the equivalent pair of clarinets would be if I bought something new today. What make and model would be reasonable to tell them? Thank you.

There is a store in UK that sold one, still has the listing:
They priced it at £699.99.

Another store in UK has one in prime condition sold for £1,100.00:

Stephan Howard in UK is a musical instrument repairer, wrote a manual sold by Haynes on saxophone ownership and repair. He also is a regular poster on Café Saxophone UK forum:

You may be able to contact them, if you live near them, you could have them look yours over and give you what they estimate it to be worth.

Is this coverage necessary? Even if you "play for pay" & you are in the US,

your homeowner's policy provides coverage- with limits

(there is no special limit if you don't get paid to play-that's why you are paying for this policy).

It makes no sense to duplicate coverage that you already have, you can't collect 2x.
I don't know if this is the case in other countries. Some companies do alter this coverage either with special limits, or additional coverage, however you should enquire.

The HO 5 cited below is typical:

Personal property

The HO-5 policy extends open-peril coverage to personal property as well. This means that you no longer have to prove that your property was damaged by one of the 16 named perils.

Personal property also includes items that have special coverage sub-limits. This is meant to encourage those with high-value items like jewelry, furniture, certain electronics, and paintings to seek out special insurance options for them. Below are standard limitations.

Sub-limitPropertyLimitations

$1,500Jewelry, watches, fursTheft-only
$1,500Watercraft, trailers
$2,500FirearmsTheft-only

Thanks everyone. It was just for insurance at home so we were going to get them included in our house insurance but because I have a number of different instruments the insurance company wanted each of them listed with replacement values for each. We are sorted now. Thank you for your help.

Boosey and Hawkes is a UK company, however, I don't see where the post indicates that the OP is.
I am using a desktop browser to view this forum. It shows the person's location indicated in their profile along with join date. You don't see this? Perhaps these are not shown if one is using a cellphone or say Android tablet? And is there a TWF cell ap for browsing?
