A few years ago, a Selmer-made saxophone for Coleman Hawkins showed up on eBay. I probably have pictures from that original ad, but I also found the horn appears to have been donated to (or, at least, sold to) a museum. I'm happy with that. It's at the Cité de la Musique Philharmonie de Paris. It's a 1933 Selmer Super Series horn.
Pretty ginormous pics, too.
I also want to remind folks that there were two SML (Strasser-Marigaux-Lemaire) Coleman Hawkins models, one with left bell keys and one with right.
There's a lot of fun stuff at Cité de la Musique. Enjoy!
