Help Identifying this oboe bell marking

I have an oboe that has only this bell marking for identification. Is it familiar to any of you double-reed people?

No idea, but the comments on the reddit post are valid.
Steve, do you have a link to that Reddit post?

The emblem appears to spell out "JOY"? I also did a search on this and "JY", received no results. The brushed texture appears to be more recent development on later hard rubber and plastic resin instrument bodies. Earlier, they were glossy, or dulled / subdued possibly by gentle bead blasting.

I played oboe for 1 year in my senior year for concert band back in the early 1970's. Don't remember the brand, was an ebonite student model, not wood.

Does the case, if appears to be its original, have any further details that may be helpful for identification? If not, a seasoned woodwind repair technician may be able to identify it.

The most common student oboe on E-Bay is the Linton. They are going for about $500 in overhauled condition, less if repair needed. The no-name's appear to be lower valued.

If it plays decently, may be worth keeping. What are your intents with it?

reminds me of the era of ... hey the body is porous and doesn't hold air ... as one holds it underwater and watches air bubbles pop ouf out the body.

google image search of the above image and the word "oboe"

I have never attempted an image search, didn't know such was available, where a form of file matching was used.
In this case it was an entire image match.

I get a lot of emails from my website and YT site of people asking information. Many times you can tell when they are "searching for a better $$$ answer" than what they got elsewhere because they thought they struck it rich. So with those emails I will end up doing an image search and finding postings on reddit, facebook, reverb, amazon, or other online forums or even Home Depot where they are trying to find information.

In this case I've never seen that logo before so I did an image search on just the logo and found that thread.

On a Google search screen, where it states
Search Google or type URL .. to the right is a microphone, then a camera -like object.. Click that camera icon and you'll be able to search via images.
