Make clarinet reed

Just like with oboe reeds, there are a number of specialty tools that are required in order to reproduce reeds accurately.

Check out www.clarinetreedmaking.com

Making reeds is an involved process. It is not going to save you money (in the short term). Nor will it save you time (while you perfect your craft). The reward, in the long run, is 100 % control over the quality of the reeds you use, and creative control over the cut in special situations. (Like if you want a unique profile for a rare instrument.) Over the long run it will save you money, and may eventually save you time (if you spent loads of time 'tweaking' reeds as they came out of the box).
