Odd Japanese Phrase

サムの魔法使い

I came across this when looking at a few Yanagisawa pages. The translation, from Google Translate, is "Wizard of Sam." You can see more anguished forms of "Sam" on this Rakuten page. Seems to be referring to the thumbrests, which match the material the horn's made of. Anyone have a better translation?

"Sam" is "thumb". It has to do with Japanese phonemes--actually the lack thereof. In Japanese these are homonyms, like "love" and "rub". They are talking about metal thumb hooks and thumb rests (samllest--say it out loud) and how that makes the sound great...
