Repair shop near Knoxville?

Uh, move to Atlanta? Seriously, Knoxville is really "out there" as far as being located away from the rest of the world. It makes you wonder why Fightin' Joe Hooker tried to take the place back in the ACW.

(Well, not really. It was because of the Union sentiment in that part of the Volunteer State, along with a strategic rail junction.)

They do have a Steak 'n' Shake, however, so it must be getting better than it was at the time of the World's Fair, the one that virtually no one (compared to other World's Fairs) bother to go to.

The only time I got myself remote from decent music suppliers and repairmen was when I worked a cruise boat out of San Juan back in the 1960's. Let me tell you, bass clarinet and baritone sax reeds were thin on the ground south of Key West, and the only repair guy I could find on a weekend in San Juan liked to use a hide hammer to make key cups seal against the seats. Not a good thing...
