I don't know what's up with the finish. Nickel keywork and lacquer body? Pearl keys? I cringe ....

Yeah, but was it made with reclaimed artillery shells? That's really the only way it would be truly valuable! :tongue:

Better: it was made from melted-down Mark VIs.

Segue: one of the projects I've been threatening to do for some years has been melting down ... er ... working to get some more pictorial history of the A. Sax instruments. I've got some good pics and info that I'm compiling. I'll try to post the beginnings of it on my blog in awhile; I've currently got a wonderful double-ear infection and I don't feel like I can do anything that requires major thought, ATM.
