Tight Pivot Screw

Hello there,

For a while now, I've had to keep releasing the tightness of a single pivot screw on my flute.
It seems as though the playing of the A key, over time, tightens the pivot screw and then the key stops returning to its starting position. I don't mind releasing the screw every-now-and-then, but it would help to know if there is better solution to the issue.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Cheers.

Partially unscrew the pivot screw and dab a little clear nail varnish on the threads, then screw it back to the correct working position. As the nail varnish hardens it will temporarily fix the threads but not so strongly that it can't be moved again if necessary.
