Saxophonist Walter Beasley has worked hard to build a successful music career. After more than 20 years, he says hes finally enjoying his music the way a legion of his listeners have enjoyed it as a relief from stress and troubles.
Thirty years of all this stress, and finally Im using these sounds to help me, says Beasley, who has incorporated a meditative approach into his music. Its a great time in my life, and Im excited to be coming to Dayton to share it.
What Beasley will share is some of his favorite music, including material from his newest recording, Free Your Mind (Heads Up 2009) in two shows at Gillys on Saturday, Oct. 10.
