FWIW, I also did some Googling and I couldn't find any pricing information for WW oboes. Found a few flutes for sale, which were in the $1000+ US range. Found a few clarinets, which were around the $700+ US range. All used, of course. The flutes, especially, seem highly regarded.
According to this, WW died in 1995 and stopped producing oboes around 1979. Well, provided Google translate and Pete transliterate are working properly. @
Helen, could you please take a peek to make sure I'm right?
I see you've posted in a few places and in at least two languages regarding this horn. I would encourage you to post at the
http://www.museum-markneukirchen.de/forum, which is the forum I linked to, above. I would think that you'd get a bit more information from folks in Germany. You might also want to call or shoot an e-mail to Peter Hurd from
http://oboes.us. His contact information is right on his website. Most of my double-reed searches -- ever -- include him or lead back to him, so I'd say he'd have some really good information.
