I just received my copy of 100+1 Saxen, a new book by Leo Van Oostrom, who is one of the world's greatest saxophone players and collectors.

It features photos of the author's incredible saxophone collection and commentary on the history of most saxophone manufacturers. Included are Adolphe Sax saxophones, rare European saxophones, toy saxophones, and a lot of fun saxophone type instruments.

It is a large 8" X 10 1/2 " paperback, with tons of black and white photos. Commentary is in Dutch, French, and English.

By the time you pay for shipping, it's going to cost you around 50 bucks. Not available in the USA, but you can order it from Tony Bingham's rare instrument shop in London:
