Buffet 1180 Bass Clarinet - SN#29557

I am trying to find the year of manufacture for my Buffet 1180 Bass Clarinet - SN#29557. Does anyone know of a site which has that info or any contact info?
 
Well, you sort of came to the right place. @Steve hosts his Clarinet Perfection web site here. Here is a link to the Buffet serial #s. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, there is a list for harmony clarinets. Unfortunately it ends in 1993 at #26734. So probably mid to late 1990s. Steve may be able to provide more guidance if he chimes in here.
 
What is a Buffet Harmony Clarinet and why would the SN# for them also be for a Buffet 1180 bass clarinet?
 
Harmony Clarinet = Alto Clarinet or Bass Clarinet and possibly others than a standard Bb clarinet.

I want to tell you that to find the year of manufacture for your Buffet 1180 Bass Clarinet with serial number 29557, you can refer to the Buffet Crampon serial number chart available online, or contact Buffet Crampon directly via their official website's contact page.

I didn't see this thread.
I'm not an expert on bass clarinet serial numbers. I'm not sure my lists include bass clarinet serial numbers.
But I think the 1180 is a more recent bass replaced by the current 1185 model.

Oddly, for a long time Buffet, Selmer-USA/Conn-Selmer used to send people to ask me for vintage clarinets of theirs.
 
Lyon & Healy used to send people with L&H-branded saxophones my way. I kinda liked that.
