Embouchure for Roland AE-05

I'm a trumpet player and play in a small, very small, group in which it would really be great if I could double on an instrument that doesn't tax my embouchure. So, does a wind controller, like the Roland AE-05 require that you actually play with a sax embouchure, or do you just blow without getting muscle fatigue?

Wind controllers are pretty forgiving in the embouchure department. For you, tonguing might be the more difficult change. The other limitation might be the expense.

Remember, the wind controller is an instrument and you need to work on it a bit to make it work well for you.

If you're interested, there are a couple trumpet-like midi controllers still available, such as https://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-EZ-TP-MIDI-Trumpet. Do some Googling and ebay trawling.

Dont forget as a trumpeter you can already play any brass instrument except french horn and slide trombones as the techniques for each are virtually the same.

The Rolands can be put in brass mode to react and sound fairly lose to a trumpet.
