I have a Buffet clarinet that I am trying to identify. The serial is 777007 and there is some print that I cannot read. I have uploaded some pictures that I hope will help you help me!
Hey folks, quickslide is a friend of mine and a band instructor. The serial number is 777077 which is cool in and of itself. That number would indicate a much newer instrument than this picture would indicate based on the Buffet serial number charts I've looked at in an attempt to assist here. quickslide, a picture of the keys would be very helpful to the pros here if they are to assist in the model identification of this clarinet. Thanks all!
I thought one of my friends would weigh in by now. Anyhoo, that keyworks is exactly like my R-13, 'cept I have Buffet logos on the upper and lower tubes. How does it play?
I don't see a logo on the bottom tube, but it could be worn off more than the top logo? Not being a woodwind player since elementary school, I may not be the best judge of how it plays. I can tell you that it moves very freely, didn't hear any leaks, wasn't noisy, and it let me blow a nice Bb scale!
An E11, maybe? I'm pretty sure I see a "Made in Germany" below the serial, and that would fit with the serial, as they're on a separate chart than the pro line Buffets. (Speaking of those, I might be getting a *very* old pair of those soon! More on that later!)
Do note that some of the the B10s and B12s, as mentioned in the Kessler post, were also made in Germany. @Steve might have a bit more info, too, as I don't even play clarinet on TV.
Sorry it has taken me some time to reply. Thanks for the insight everyone! I think I may have to take it to some of my clarinet-playing friends, not the TV ones, and see what they think.
We got a hand me down Buffet.
Serial number. 120295
Cannot find any model number.
Keys are not magnetic
Had it cleaned up and it looks brand new. Attached pictures
Just trying to figure out what we have. Going to give it to my son to use as his concert instrument. Any help would be great
