I've seen a couple of these on eBay, somewhat recently. My opinion is that they're Rene Guenot stencils. Take a look at some other Rene Guenots, but spcifically this one:

* Same shape chromatic F# key. I also know on other Rene Guenot horns that it eventually gets the "nailfile."
* Hinged chromatic ("side") Bb and C keys, rather than one piece for each.
* Left-side bell keys.
* Same shape G#/C#/B/Bb cluster. I also know on other Rene Guenot horns that the G# eventually gets the "nailfile."
* Same bell-to-body brace and low C keyguard.

I did a bit of Googling and it doesn't look like Lewin Freres actually produced instruments, just imported them.

So, what do y'all think?
