Not practicing enough?

I have been hammering away on some really hard lines for an upcoming concert. Take a look by clicking on thumbnail pic:



For some reason flats drive me to distraction. and these buggers are played fast. When I listen to the recording on YouTube, you can't even hear this line! And with three alto saxes doing this, it sounds rather like a chainsaw. Sigh, ah the joys of a community band.

By the way doing the xxx 0x0 (F#) to xoo oxo (Bb) fingering really helps here.

Ha! Was just scrolling down to suggest the long Bb with RH oxo - and spotted your next post!

Banned Brahms? Who's the deranger?

I've played both 1st and 2nd clar parts on the original, I think 2nd was the more challenging part, but overall neither were too bad.
