Upon warming up my concert reed (the one I rehearsed with yesterday) split in bar six, so I had to revert to my old one (and get a new one ready in the five minutes that were left), but apart from that I was doing fine, without major blackouts.

Later my director came shaking hands (in presence of my wife, whoa!) and congratulated me on my tone and playing.

So next time one says anything bad about Bundy and Artley basses, think twice. Those are fine instruments, really.
