Mystery clarinet
barrel unlabeled 63mm
bell labeled B&H edgewear - wooden
bore is ovalled .582 to .590
serial numbers match on upper and lower joints 1870C
Makers logo faded out, outline barely visible, and partial lettering on top
Anybody care to make a guess on the identity of this Beast?
A friend purchased this at a swap meet in Florida and I don't think it is an Edgewear, just the bell is B&H, the banding on the bell and lower joint do not match. The banding on the barrel and lower joint do match. The size of the upper joint tenon is smaller than that of a modern Buffet, FWIW.
