    Selmer BA tenor case

Hi Folks, I have an old Balanced action (1938) and l want to buy a new case for it. I've been looking at BAM cabine cases and l believe they use a MKVI as the mould. My question is.. will my BA fit in this case? What cases do you fellow BA owners use? Thanks in advance Tom
  2. Finding more information on my bass clarinet

Hello! I'm new to the forum, and wanted to see if I could get some more information about my bass clarinet. I bought it about 2 years ago from my teacher, but she didn't know much about its origins. It's a Selmer (Paris) Low E (not Eb), with a really sweet tone. Serial number 9497. Does anyone...
  3. Help to identify a Selmer please?

Hi, My 14 year old son is currently borrowing a 'pair' of clarinets from my brother's girlfriend. The Bb instrument is marked as a Selmer although the marking is quite worn. It is the laurel leaves circlet with SELMER across the middle HENRI above, and PARIS below (both inside the circlet)...
  4. Is this a Clarinet or the skeletal remains of an instrument? It's a mystery to me?

Straight up, I'm not a musician but I have a question that I thought this forum might answer. I recently picked up an old instrument that I thought was a clarinet. It has a nice old case with crocodile trim. The only mark I could find is a crest stamped into the mouthpiece with "Henri Selmer...
  5. Selmer 'Davis' Paris

Sorry - I'm a fraud! I don't play Clarinet - but I joined the Forum because I am looking for information and help. My Uncle was a player and played Clarinet and Saxophone in various bands all his life. When he died my father inherited the Clarinet that he bought somewhere around the war years on...
  6. Estimated value of a SA80I Tenor

Hello all! I am looking to place my tenor on the market, and was hoping that some of you may be willing to share your opinion about the approximate value of this horn. A ballpark figure with a $500 range would be great. (For example... $1200-$1700) Description: Selmer Super Action 80 Tenor...

Boy, it looks like I've really lucked out...

It appears, tentative as it may be at this point, that I have blundered my way into the purchase of a relatively mint Selmer (Paris) professional model Mazzeo horn, the one with the full Boehm keywork. A friend's father is selling off his collection of instruments, as his fingers shake too...
  8. Mazzeo system fingerings

Hello, I'm testing just right now a Selmer Series 10 Mazzeo Model, full Boehm, (or should I say "full Mazzeo" ;-)) serial n. W53xx, from 1971. At first it looked too strange, but after studying it's mechanism I really got curious about it, it looks great. I really enjoyed it's tone...
  9. Selmer glass clarinet mouthpiece

I inherited a Selmer glass clarinet mouthpiece with "HSH Clarion" inscribed on it. I tried it out and it has a very warm, mellow tone. I'm not interested in selling it, I'm just wondering if anybody knows anything about these mouthpieces. Cheers!
