2011 'G' clarinet in Albert on eBay?

The mysterious clarinet in G...

...is pretty much a creature of the Balkans and Turkey. Virtually all of them are in an Albert system configuration, and they are used for the folk music of the area.

When you run across a clarinet in B natural (and not just a high pitch horn that's mislabeled), that will be a rare find...

There are lots of German system clarinets still being made. But the market outside it's home countries is limited. Quite a few of these come in from the far east. Haven't seen any new G ones advertised and precious few old G ones. So I've nothing to add to what Sotsdo said.

Might be worth checking what mouthpiece/reed it uses, I think you'll find your choices are limted, unless it uses standard Bb reeds and beware - there are different reeds for different varieties of German system clarinets, depends on the mouthpiece etc. Seller may not know.

FWIW, I hadn't heard of "MYW." I Googled. They're a division of Beijing Musical Instruments. Linky. That supports kev's comment about "far east."
